  • Calls, voice messages, or text messages?

    Hello, random creatures.
It feels like I haven’t been here again for centuries.
I kind of like appearing and disappearing from here. Well, not really, but I guess 2026 is kind of interesting to me, in both good and bad ways, but stories might come another time.
I’m here to know if any of you, my imaginary audience 😛 have any preferences when it comes to communication.
What do you prefer? Calls, voice messages or text messages?
    Personally, it depends.
For example, I went to school with a girl when we were kids, and we recently reconnected. We got to talking, and at a point, I asked her what her favorite memory is from her life overall, and she responded with a 22 minute voice message. I have no problem with long voice messages, but if the message is longer than 10 minutes, I think you can call the recipient. Again, I have no problem with long messages, they fit nicely in the background and motivate me to be productive because if I just sat and listened, I would get bored.
I don’t have any problem with talking on the phone, but my social anxiety-type feelings have a problem with it, LOL. I mean, if I haven’t talked to you that much via text or in person, then if you call me, I’m going to be a little scared to answer, or take the initiative to call. But for people I know better, I don’t have a problem.
But I personally feel that I can express myself better through text, because I have more time to think about what words to use, or what to answer, and how to actually phrase it. I have nothing against the other forms of talking that I mentioned though.

  • Greetings and Salutations

At the time of me writing this post, I’ve been on Elten for about 4 years. If anyone cares, though no one is as weird as me and calculates things in so much detail, LOL, I’ve been here for 3 years, 9 months, and 0 days.
I used my old blog as a kind of practice place for English. And now that I’m more stable in my opinion, I want to start from 0. If someone is nosy, that blog still exists.
I have a kind of goodbye post for it, but back when I wrote it, I was unsure if I wanted to give up on the blog or continue using it. Well, I think you can figure out what I decided. We are here now.
I’ll use this to ramble about music, books, languages, and other things. I promise I won’t only talk about my interests and opinions. Well, actually, scratch that, I can’t promise it. I don’t know what’ll end up happening here.
I guess I just like to write. I also write stories from time to time, but I’m not confident in that. I know one classmate/girl from college who has two poetry books published, in Romanian, by the way, and she has a publishing company to help young people. She keeps saying I should start writing a book, because I told her I’d like to. She’s a bit insistent every time the topic comes up, but in an encouraging way, not sure how to explain it.
Maybe I’ll show my stories here at some point, too. The problem is that I never save them, because they kind of bring me shame. My high school English teacher used to say I’m talented at writing, though. The Romanian class teacher from high school said it too. So I think I did send them what I wrote back then, which is cringe. I haven’t read it since, but I’m sure it’s the cringiest thing ever. Or maybe not.
We will see what happens, said the blind.
Anyway, enough for today, as I’m babbling too much.
